Mazarin desk from the 17th/18th century, from the collection of the famous French actor and director Jean-Claude Brialy.
The furniture was bought at an auction of JEAN-CLAUDE BRIALY memorabilia. During the restoration, we found a lot of interesting documents in the desk. There are photos from JEAN-CLAUDE BRIALY's childhood, letters, newspaper clippings. Extremely intriguing is a card written to JEAN CLAUDE by Romy Schneider (photo). It is written on a photo of Romy Schneider's family home Berchtesgaden.
The desk has preserved period hardware (photo). It was restored in the 19th century. The back and bottom of the furniture was replaced in the 19th century.
