The secretaire was made using the mahogany veneering method on conifer and hardwood construction. It is an example of excellent work of French cabinetmakers. The furniture bears a beautiful signature LSvCF on the back. We presume that these are the initials of the owner of the furniture. The secreter is in need of minor restoration.
