Corrugated Boulle cabinet from the reign of Napoleon III

19500,00

This is a fine example of French furniture from the reign of Napoleon III, circa 1870. The cabinet was made by French craftsmen using dark brown chrysotile and engraved brass plate. The design is characteristic of Jean Berrain, with intricate Arabesque patterns depicting exotic birds, dragons, chimera masks, satyrs, vases of plenty and burlesque scenes. The bronze decorations are of excellent quality.
